In a major announcement, strict directions have been given by the Rural development and Panchayati Raj minister Ramesh Chand Meena to conduct a state-level inspection of 48,344 houses in 10 districts, the construction of which remained incomplete under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Grameen (PMAY-G) during the period commencing 2016-17 to 2020-21.
The said 10 districts are namely Udaipur, Pratapgarh, Banswara, Bundi, Jodhpur, Tonk, Jalore, Barmer, Baran and Jhalawar.
Post the inspection, he has also ordered the officials of the department to release the second instalment within 15 days.
